A Stylish and Heartfelt Celebration with Golf Course Views
This beautiful celebration was one to remember held at Mill Green Golf Club, in Welwyn Garden City, it was full of love, laughter, and views that took everyone’s breath away. The couple chose a venue close to home, surrounded by bushy scenery and everything they needed for their perfect day. As a documentary wedding photographer, I absolutely love photographing weddings like this — relaxed, personal, and full of real emotion.
How did you choose your venue?
For the couple, the choice came naturally. The venue was near where they live, offered lovely views, and catered perfectly to their needs — everything they could have wished for. The golf course has a separate large room for ceremonies, and celebrations, totally private with a private garden and separate entrance for guests. Just perfect! It was the ideal backdrop for a heartfelt ceremony and a joyful celebration with friends and family.
What part of the wedding process were you most excited about?
We were most excited about the ceremony, the views, and sharing the day with their family and guests — the perfect combination for a wedding filled with emotion and joy. From the very start, they wanted their day to feel natural and meaningful, surrounded by the people they love most.
The Proposal
Brendan proposed years ago in Mauritius — how romantic is that? A tropical setting, turquoise seas, and a moment neither of them will ever forget.
Choosing the Date
Their wedding date had a lovely personal touch — it fell on the bride’s brother’s birthday, adding an extra layer of sentiment to an already special day.
Finding the Dress
Finding the dress didn’t take long at all — just the second shop she visited! She went by herself, tried it on, and immediately knew it was the one. In her words, “I just knew it was right as soon as I tried it on.” Later, she lost two stone so it would fit perfectly — and it truly did!
Her advice for other brides? “Go with your gut — when you know, you know!”

The Wedding Style
The couple went for a navy and blue colour palette, with the groom wearing navy and red to complement the bride’s stunning dress. The day had a Spanish-inspired theme, featuring candles, silver tones, and a sprinkling of red for a touch of elegance and romance.
Personal Touches
Every detail of the day reflected the couple’s personalities — from their favourite colours to the classy, candlelit décor that created a beautiful, timeless atmosphere. As a candid wedding photographer, I love capturing these personal details that make each wedding so unique.
Funny & Memorable Moments
One sweet and funny moment came courtesy of the page boys — who were so caught up in the excitement that they completely forgot to throw their petals down the aisle! A little moment of chaos that made everyone smile and added to the charm of the day.
Favourite Wedding Photo
When asked to choose a favourite image, the bride said she loved them all — but the confetti shots were a definite highlight. “The final one especially,” she said, “it was just beautiful.” Those joyful, laughter-filled moments are exactly what documentary wedding photography is all about — capturing real emotion, naturally.

Advice for Newly Engaged Couples
The couple shared some brilliant advice for those planning their big day:
“Buy things on Vinted — it’s only one day! But buy the best dress you can afford. Have a free bar, relax, and enjoy the day. And definitely have Myriame as your photographer!”
Here’s the Google Review from Helen:
Myriame is a truly amazing photographer. I loved her enthusiasm as vibrancy. Every photo was brilliant. I never read her reviews. I took a stab in the dark and found her on Bark. How fortunate to find a really brilliant lady. Thank you so much ☺️
