Sue & Jeff’s Winter Wedding December 2019

I was privileged to take the wedding photographs of Sue and Jeff’s winter wedding at The Manor in Leatherhead in December. I meet Sue at her home where everyone was getting ready and the air of excitement was there from the start of this fabulous day. This was an exciting time with lots of emotion and a great deal of laughter which I love to capture.  The four little bridemaid’s were aged from 1 year to 9 years and were so excited for the day ahead.

The Ceremony was held at The Mansion in Leatherhead, a lovely old building in the centre of Leatherhead.  The wedding guests were made up of close family and friends.  The ceremony was a delightful mix of emotion and joy, with the little bridesmaid’s enthralled and delighted. The Mansion ceremony room provides for a small and intimate gathering and is decorated in cream, blue and gold with mahogany woodwork.  A conservatory attached to the ceremony room allows for photographs in cold or wet weather, which was ideal for group photos.  The gardens are lawned with walkways and despite the cold weather I took some outdoor photo’s of the newly wed happy couple and not a drop of rain which made for a fun confetti photo before getting out of the cold!

After the ceremony we all headed off to The Bridge Restaurant, in Tadworth for welcome drinks, a hearty meal, speeches and more laughter, which was actually present for the duration of the whole evening.  The Bridge Restaurant in Tadworth is an authentic Turkish & Mediterranean restaurant which used to be the former Tadworth railway ticket hall, but has been transformed into a stylish restaurant offering delicious meals in a lovely setting, ideal for a small wedding party.

When the speeches and meals were finished, all the guests moved to Blue Ball Pub, down the road from The Bridge, where further guests arrived to congratulate Sue & Jeff with more drinks and laughter.  The evening finished with some dancing in a happy pub setting with everyone taking part.  It was simply a wonderful winter wedding filled with joy, family and friends.
