In October had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of the lovely Jo and Marc who had their ceremony in the beautiful St. Mary’s Church, Redbourn, followed by the wedding breakfast at Sopwell House
The day started at Jo’s parents house with the highly recommended, Ema Bridal doing all the hair and makeup with such precision, I am always in awe of makeup artists and all the lovely shades of makeup colours they have in their bags. Even a spell of heavy rain couldn’t dampen the growing excitement as the preparations continued. Before too long we were all heading to St Mary’s Church and the rain had fortunately gone. St. Mary’s Church dates form the 12th Century and has a stunning stained glass window which made for perfect backdrop to Jo and Marc’s wedding ceremony. Marc’s family live in South Africa and due to Covid were unable to travel, however the ceremony and the wedding breakfast were live streamed to South Africa, so if not in person at least the family were able to watch day unfold.
After the ceremony and photo’s at the church, everyone drove to Sopwell House, which is an elegant luxury country house in Hertfordshire. The earliest reference to Sopwell House is in a deed of 1603. This Georgian House is set in 12 acres of lovely Hertfordshire countryside, an hour from London and is a stunning setting for a wedding.
