I am a friendly, down to earth photographer based in Surrey, offering photography for family, birthday parties and events. As part of family shoots, I’m pet friendly, so pets are welcome as they are members of the family unit.
I have loads of patience and understanding when dealing with small children and move quickly through different set ups so little ones have plenty of time to have fun and not sit still for too long! I feel its so important for little members and older children to be able to have some time to play and just chill out while the shoot is taking place, that way allows me to take natural fun photos without everything being too staged.

What happens on the day of the Family photography shoot?
I will arrive early at the pre-arranged park or gardens to have a look around for the best photo spots and the best lighting available on the day, taking into consideration the age of the children booked for the family shoot.
Afterall, you do not want to be walking miles or having to carry the kids!
I usually recommend shoots at child friendly parks or gardens where there are swings or play areas so the children can have a bit of fun and relax before we start the shoot.
There will be time between each set of photos for a chill out as we go to the next spot, all will be within easy reach of play areas and loos just in case they are needed.
I allow two hours for family shoots, depending on the ages of the family members as I like to capture natural images and work hard to make the session fun for all members of the family, so that the session is relaxed and enjoyable. Generally, the session is finished within an hour and a half, but I build in a little time for any minor delays.
Planning your family photoshoots –

All family photoshoots are arranged in advance and at a time convenient for the family members to accommodate all age groups and any sleeping patterns for younger family members.
During our consultation we will go over the type of images you would like me to capture, the ages of the younger family members and the location you would like your photo shoot.
I do not have a studio however, I can come to your home or we can meet in a park or gardens near you.
Bluebells and Lavender seasons are always very popular and make for stunning family photographs.
There is an extra cost for lavender photoshoots as the lavender farms set a charge for professional photographers. If you are considering a lavender farm photo shoot these are best down early mornings or evenings before there are too many visitors.
Your session can include other family members, grandparents or great grandparents.
