Engagement shoots are not only fun they are a great way to get to know your photographer and get used to being in front of the camera, especially if you feel a little self conscious. You can use the photos as ‘save the date’ cards, add them to your wedding website, use one for a signature frame on the day of your wedding or simply keep them as a memory of a fun engagement shoot. It’s a good way of trying out some poses and discussing any ideas you have for your wedding day. I offer free engagement shoots with all my collections as I like to build a friendly rapport with my couples as this captures natural, beautiful images on the day of the wedding.
In terms of what to wear, I always say wear outfits that reflect you, your personality and you feel comfortable wearing. Pick outfits that compliment you both as a couple and make you look and feel great. Remember the seasons and the setting for your shoot, gardens, woodlands, beaches or city and urban surroundings and wear outfits to match your choice of your shoot.
