Arseniy & Olga’s Morden Park Registry Wedding

As a female Surrey wedding photographer, I frequently capture wedding photography at Morden Park House which is home to Merton Registry Office.  This Grade II listed Georgian manor house was built in 1770 and its period charm makes it feel more like a country house estate than a registry office.

Olga and Arseniy found me on Google maps and said they were looking for a wedding photographer to capture their wedding ceremony from arrival, to ceremony, group shots, confetti and bride and groom portraits.  I was thrilled to accept as I always enjoy capturing small registry office weddings.  I find couples are relaxed and themselves at smaller weddings and that always shows in the images I get.

On the day, I woke to full sunshine and headed to Morden Park House.  Olga and Arseniy were ready at home and travelled to Morden Park House together so I was able to get some lovely images of them arriving and greeting guests.  It was an intimate gathering of family and friends who were there to celebrate the special occasion.

Olga looked lovely in a crochet style dress and carried a pretty bouquet of flowers picked from their garden at home.  This simple pared back look really suited her as she looked beautiful and entirely herself in it.  Arseniy looked very smart in a blue three-piece suit and they looked so happy together.

The ceremony was hosted in Morden Park House’s charming Sheridan room.  Bright and airy it has a chandeliered ceiling and French windows that open directly onto the park, fortunately as it was peak summer so there was a nice breeze through the room.

After a beautiful ceremony, Arseniy and Olga walked back down the aisle husband and wife to loud and happy applause from their guests.  Everybody then headed out to the front of Morden Park House for a fun confetti moment, that I captured perfectly.

I then took some group images of the wedding party.  Olga and Arseniy’s guests were so lovely and there was a really positive vibe about the wedding, it was clear everybody was so happy for them and totally enjoying the celebrations.

Lastly, I whisked Olga and Arseniy away for a couples’ portrait shoot.  One of the many reasons why I love capturing wedding photography at Morden Park House are the beautiful interiors, gardens and parkland which all make idyllic backdrops for romantic portrait images.

We finished our photoshoot with a fun photographic champagne moment.  Arseniy used to be a waiter in a hi-end restaurant in Mayfair, so was accustomed to opening a bottle of champagne properly without wasting a drop, however he got into the spirit of if and I recorded some really fun images.  It was the perfect way to close the story of their wedding ceremony and celebrations at Morden Hall.

I then left Olga and Arseniy to take a breather before they headed off to their evening celebrations at Hotel du Vin in Wimbledon.

I really loved capturing Olga and Arseniy’s small registry office wedding.  If, like them, you’re having your wedding ceremony at Morden Park House, and are looking for an experienced Morden Park House wedding photographer to capture your day with beautiful storytelling images.  Then feel free to get in touch.  I’d love to hear about your wedding plans.

I’ll leave the last words to Olga and Arseniy.  Here are their thoughts on me!

“Myriame did an excellent job with the photos and brightened the day even more and got everyone smiling with her friendly and light-hearted charisma. We would certainly recommend her for your wedding.  We had an excellent experience having Myriame as our wedding photographer, and the photos are fantastic. Thank you!”
