Bingham Riverhouse is a delightful hotel set on the river Thames in the heart of Richmond and the setting for Olivia and Kier’s summer wedding. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for an outdoor wedding over looking the Thames River. Olivia and the bridesmaids were all upstairs getting ready with a view from the bedroom window looking down onto the Thames and the garden where all the guests were arriving. All the chairs had been set out facing towards the river, it looked idyllic in the morning sunshine. I busied myself doing all the detail shots, wedding gown, dresses, shoes and flowers while everyone completed their hair and makeup. Olivia was keen to be ready in time for her father to come to her room for a ‘first look’ at his beautiful daughter. It was an personal moment, the look of love and pride on her father’s face was priceless, I love catching these on camera. Mean while down in the garden Samuel Moore, one of Europe’s leading Flamenco guitarists, played as the guests arrived to take up their seats and wait for the ceremony to begin. Kier and his groomsmen were in the bar area of the Bingham Riverhouse getting their suit coats and buttons holes fixed, while having a quick drink before the start of the ceremony. The ceremony was an intimate lovely service with family and friends looking on, river boats sailing by and the couples baby daughter looking on with interest as she was not yet one year old, so not too sure what was happening, but none the less as good as gold. Reception drinks and canapés were served in the gardens while the group photos were being taken with the river as a perfect back drop. Samuel continued to play the guitar for the duration of the reception and it was enjoyable having this background music while everyone mingled and chatted to each other. The wedding breakfast followed by amusing speeches from the groomsmen and Kier completed the afternoon. As the sun was starting to set we went off to do some bride and groom photos and some photos with Blair, their little baby daughter. The gardens were perfect for bride and groom photos, as was the handy gate out onto the walkway by the river to get to some photos with the river and Richmond bridge as a back drop. We returned for cutting the cake, not a traditional cake, but made up of different layers of cheese and fruit which was served to the guests with biscuits and coffee, delicious. As soon as the cheese cake stand was moved the first dance took place and what a dance, soon followed by the guests joining in on the dance floor. The day finished with a sparkler exit which is always great fun and a wonderful way to end their fabulous wedding day.
