I first meet Bridie and Daniel when they visited my wedding photography stand at a PMN Wedding Fayre held in Audley’s Wood Hotel. Audley’s Wood is a Neo Gothic Renaissance Manor which was carefully renovated in 1989. The manor has existed since 1880 and has a long history of interesting owners, including being leased in the Second World War to the proprietor of The Daily Telegraph and to this day there is always a copy of the current The Daily Telegraph in the lounge. We hit off straight away with our love for dogs and horses, we had so much in common. We met again for an engagement shoot in Richmond Park and they bought Prescott, their terrier with to have their photos taken with him as he is very much part of the family. I bought my little rescue spaniel for the walk about and we had such a great time with our four legged fur babies. They are an absolutely delightful couple to work with and they made a fabulous bride and groom as you will see from my post. On the morning of the wedding Daniel was getting ready with his best man and ushers at The Vineyard Hotel in Newbury. The hotel has a fabulous mural which made a great backdrop for their pre wedding drinks. Tasha Sutton was second shooting for me and she took some great shots of the hotel entrance and morning drinks. Bridie was getting ready at Audley’s Wood Hotel in one of their gorgeous rooms with her bridesmaids. The highlight was her Dad’s first look at his beautiful daughter in her stunning And She Loves Bridal gown. Jessie Hawkes videographer and myself positioned ourselves behind Bridie as her Dad opened the bedroom door so we could catch the unforgettable look on his face. He almost cried with happiness and pride, it was a wonderful moment. We gathered up her beautiful bouquet by Kelly Louise Floral Design and set off for St Mary’s Church, Kingsclere for the ceremony, attended by family and friends and you guessed it Prescott. Prescott was in the front row looking very smart with his green bow tie to match his masters, he even had his photo taken during the signing of the register and of course outside the church. Back at Audley’s Wood Hotel for canapés and photos before the wedding breakfast. I love some of the speeches and expressions during the speeches, you get such a feeling for the bride and groom. Bridie is an excellent tap and Irish dancer and after their first dance she did some dancing for her guests with the great Kilcannon Band playing while she danced. The band was so vibrant and had everyone up on their feet, even the little ones looked on with awe, it was so lively. Sparklers finished what was a truly fabulous wedding, I so loved being part of Bridie & Daniel’s special day.
