On a beautiful August morning I arrived at Lillibrooke Manor in Maidenhead for the wedding of Caroline & Bill. I was greeted by Caroline and all the bridesmaids along with her daughters and flower girls. Everyone was in a happy mood and enjoying having their makeup done by @shelsbeaumua and @katthemakeupmum who by the way, posts amazing makeup reels which are great to watch. Lorraine from Bridal hair design was kept busy with her hair drier and hair spray while she finished everyone’s hair for the wedding. The whole morning was full of laughter, happiness and champagne to cheer everyone along. Along with photographing all the details, I was able to photograph Caroline and Bill’s daughters who were so full of excitement for the wedding and the roles they were to play in the day. The morning passed quickly and it was soon time for Caroline’s dads first look at his beautiful daughter in her lovely Debbie Rees wedding gown and he was blown away with pride and joy. Bill and his best man and ushers in the mean while had arrived and were getting ready to meet guests and show them to the wedding barn to wait the arrival of the bridal party. The barn was decorated with bright yellow sunflowers to match the bridesmaids pale lemon theme, the bridal flowers and table decorations. The ceremony was a wonderfully intimate affair with Bill & Caroline’s daughters giving the rings to their parents with the whole ceremony captured on camera and filmed by @solemnlyphotography the images themselves tell the story. After the confetti line up everyone went into the gardens for the reception drinks and canapés. As a surprise for Caroline, Bill had arranged for the talented Joe Seager to play the guitar during the reception and wedding breakfast. Caroline had no idea this had been arranged so the look of amazement and surprise was wonderful. Joe had also been commissioned to write a love song for Caroline from Bill which is so personal and special. While to group photos were being taken Ivo_the_caricaturist was busy sketching guests and what an amazing way to entertain guests, it was such fun to see the sketches taking shape on the paper and the delight the guests had with their own sketch to take home. In the main barn the tables were decorated with an event from every year the couple had been together, telling the story of their lives together. After a splendid wedding breakfast and speeches, including a heartfelt speech from Lola, the youngest daughter, there was time to take guest photos before moving onto bride and groom photos, the first dance and cutting the cake. A really wonderful wedding, thanks for having me.
